At the Kingfisher Centre, based in Bretton, Day Opportunities staff provide a varied programme of activities within a fully accessible building and in the community tailored to individual needs.
The team aim to help the individuals they support to lead a full, happy and interesting life using a person-centred approach which means everyone has an individual weekly plan of the activities that they enjoy and have helped to choose for themselves.
The Kingfisher Centre is a multi–functional site promoting an environment that supports people with complex needs and learning disabilities in a hub with a supported enterprise cafe.
The building is based within a community setting with good access to local amenities including community centres, shops, cafes, gym and library.
The centre has dedicated accessible minibuses for those assessed as being eligible for home pick up and drop off, and for community excursions throughout the day. It also has strong transport links and parking.
Support is provided by our experienced, dedicated, trained and qualified staff who have gained at least NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. All of the people we support have a person centred programme devised for them by our team.
